OpenAI launched the majority-owned OpenAI Deployment Company to embed engineers with customers for frontier AI deployments. The company acquires applied AI firm Tomoro, adding roughly 150 Forward Deployed Engineers and Deployment Specialists from day one. The unit operates through a partnership with 19 investment firms, consultancies, and integrators led by TPG with co-leads Advent, Bain Capital, and Brookfield.
