Shreya Shankar joins Carnegie Mellon Computer Science faculty
Shreya Shankar, a final-year PhD student at UC Berkeley EECS, will join Carnegie Mellon's Computer Science Department as an assistant professor in Fall 2027 with a courtesy appointment in the Human-Computer Interaction Institute. During her doctoral research on AI-powered data tools and MLOps, she created DocETL and evals.info. @sarahcat21 😍 🚀
I met Shreya when she joined Amplify as a university associate as an undergrad. Her appreciation for how solving hard systems problems could unlock better user experiences was obvious even back then. It’s been so damn cool to watch her career from Viaduct to Berkeley to CMU. Congrats…to CMU; you got one of the best.
