Google DeepMind deploys AlphaEvolve, a Gemini-powered coding agent for algorithm discovery. Over the past year, it accelerated progress in quantum computing, biotechnology, logistics, chip design, genomics, electric grid optimization, and earth sciences. AlphaEvolve produced improvements in Google’s AI infrastructure and counterintuitive TPU optimizations. Used internally by Google DeepMind and Google Cloud, it applies evolutionary search methods to discover and refine algorithms at scale.
